If I had a dollar for every time I’ve been asked if I played basketball, we could quit our jobs. Jared and I tower over almost everyone & Penelope is well above average height too, our basketball careers were non existent but our love for basketball is very strong, we love visiting the Amway center and watching the Orlando Magic play, so we had to check out the NBA experience that opened up this last August in Disney Springs. We are here to share what we loved, what we were no good at, & all the pictures we took.

Annual passholders currently have a special offer, Passholders can purchase discounted tickets to the NBA Experience for $19 per adult and $14 per child, plus tax, now through March 31, 2020.

Hold those annual passes up high and proud & visit the NBA experience for your chance to take the trophy home, well more like take your Photopass picture with the trophy home, but you get the point, pretty cool nonetheless. This place was built with pictures in mind, now if you aren’t into basketball, what better way to learn the game? To start off, you can visit the locker room where you’ll find items players wore and some fun facts about them & the sport; you can compare your hand size to some of the NBA’s greatest players. There are life-size player murals, where you can measure up against some famous male & female stars, remember I said I am tall?

But not quite tall enough for the WNBA, it was really neat to to learn some stats & see where we landed in size compared to some legendary giants. As you can see from our trophy pictures above, that was a pretty good time too, you became the NBA finals MVP & had the opportunity to boost up high that finals champion trophy, even Penelope was into it.

Special shout out to our auntie Mimi peen for being my twin tower and accepting the trophy with me for MVP (Most Valuable Peen) it was a close almost three way tie, my celebration emotions shown on the third picture can tell you how honored I felt to have been chosen. Moving on, the more interactive part of the adventure begins in the second floor where you’ll find multiple locations to test your basketball skills (or in my case lack there of) & the whole thing is captured for you by some neat cameras, my shots aren’t worth seeing but some of Jared’s are pretty cool. For basketball offers and requests for him to sign onto a team, please refer all contact to thepeenspartyofthree@gmail.com to discuss further.

All momager duties aside, the above picture show you a look at what to do at the Dunk Zone at the NBA experience, the below one is me trying my hardest to not fail, I can attest to the fact we both had the same amount of fun, some of us just look better doing it. The trick here is the fact you can lower the hoop to your preferred height so you can look like a dunking pro, or you can raise it and test your jumping skills and hand eye coordination, Or lack there of yet again.

We continue our journey, to give you an idea each location is like a little room, the dribbling zone allows you to see your dribbling accuracy by running some drills, you saw the Dunk zone above, you can watch some films, learn some trivia, & call some plays in the play calling referee room. All extremely immersive and interactive, you don’t have to be a basketball expert, just someone looking to have fun & learn some new tricks. The active sections can bring out your competitive spirit, from a giant slingshot shooters corner to some hoops that time you & see how high you can score, to some NBA on your favorite gaming devices. For true fans, all live games are played throughout the big screens inside the NBA Experience. You get to step on the court and try out your live ball skills, it’s a quick 15 second run to see how many shots, from the pattern that shows up on the floor, you can make.

We spent a little over an hour enjoying the different aspects of the experience & can say the Dunk zone was our favorite. To those of you with a competitive spirit you will thrive in the game like environment, for those of you that have no idea what to do you will thrive in the opportunity to try something new that if you aren’t good at it, I promise it will still produce a ton of laughs & a great time. I do believe this place is for everyone, come ready to laugh at yourself, or ready to master each skill, but definitely go check it out for yourself.
I hope you enjoyed this little review of our time spent in this new attraction at Disney Springs, what I took from it was that sometimes it’s really fun to go do something and be really bad at it, made it all that more entertaining.
PS : not totally series about the signing Jared on a team stuff but if it happens we’ll take it!
Have a Magical Day Friends!
Remember to laugh ❤️
