Tucked away in Flamingo Crossings Village you will find Simply Capri the Italian restaurant you have been looking for, that is both delicious and a perfect place to dine with family. We recently visited with our traveling party of five and the minute we walked in the door we were transported out of Orlando and into Italy, we were greeted and taken to our table in the back left corner of the restaurant so we were able to take it all in from there. The restaurant is beautifully decorated to create an intimate but lively feel. As if you are dining at home amongst family, Jared is Italian so the minute we met our waiter the chit chat started about where they were from and what dishes we had to try to see that it truly is just like nona used to make it!
The kids menu comes at a cost of $15 with a soft drink included for the party members 10 years or younger. They get a choice of appetizer entree and they finalize their meal with some delicious gelato. Our kids are fruit lovers and were excited when they saw that was an appetizer option and you can never go wrong with the other option of mozzarella. As for entrees the spaghetti and meatballs was the choice of all 3 of our kiddos.

For the adults, we kicked things off with some signature cocktails, can never go wrong with a spritz, but the one that blew us away was the Bruschetta martini. A unique drink that tastes exactly as you are imagining it and yes those are cherry tomatoes with a salted rim, truly a masterpiece a must try if you are into unique drinks. For dinner we moved over to wine, we let our amazing server guide us as to what was best for our dinner choices and this is the only way, they know what they are serving you and exactly what goes exquisitely well with it. Simply Capri isn’t just an amazing restaurant for its food, it’s an experience from the moment you walk in.

Have you had a cold soup recently? One of the best soups I’ve had is in the menu here, CREMA DI POMODORO PICCANTE: Chilled tomato, cucumber, celery, red pepper, basil, parsley, red onion, cantaloupe, croutons. You can’t go wrong with the hot soup either, I can actually confidently say you won’t go wrong no matter what you chose at Simply Capri. Our appetizers were also amazing but if we had to pick one, we would pick the mussels every single time, truly delicious, as you can see from the salad images we liked the plate clean.

I am not sure where we found the room for our entrees after quite the line up already brought to us, but once the dishes were placed on the tables the smell alone was enough to make room. We first indulged in a seafood medley that was the best we have had in orlando, something about the broth, also its served in its little pot, not to mention any form of seafood you may be craving is probably in it doused in that delicious broth, we couldn’t get enough of it! the veal chop than made its way to us, it was extraordinary, the spinach was cooked perfectly and the only companion to the tender veal chop, the gravy was what sealed the deal, only thing we lacked was room to finish all of it. I repeat what I stated above, not a bad dish on the Simply Capri menu.

No matter how much you have eaten everyone knows, there is always room for dessert, and a cappuccino after dinner. They brought us Limoncello sponge cake covered with lemon cream and Chocolate lava cake, served with Vivoli vanilla gelato. The proper way to finalize our dinner. If you want a place that will blow everyone away with both amazing flavors and beloved recipes, you’ve found it at 114 Ruby Red PL in Winter Garden, just outside of Walt Disney World in Flamingo Crossings Village. when it comes to our list of places in Orlando we love, Simply Capri is high up there. Come see for yourself why!
