Hey there pals, if this is your first time joining us welcome to our page! For two nights now the Peens have found themselves outside of Disney, Sort of. Though we weren’t in any Disney park the evening was absolutely magical and it was all thanks to Disney. Jared and I are both huge sports fans, so mix that with another one of our loves (Disney) and we get The Orlando Magic Basketball Team! They are sponsored by Disney, and The Amway Center in Downtown Orlando, where The Orlando Magic play, is definitely a Magical place from amazing murals to bigger then life Disney walls and even a special Walt Disney World Terrace, that place was awesome and a great thing to do outside of Disney if you are vacationing in the Orlando area while keeping the Disney Touch in your trip alive!
Our amazing Disney Dad planned the Night out for us, tickets can be purchased at the box office there, through the Orlando Magic app or your preferred way of purchasing sports tickets like ticket hub etc. Depending on the game, ticket prices can very from as low as $9, so adding this extra adventure to your trip doesn’t have to break the bank!
The Amway Center is in the heart of Downtown Orlando, right of the famous Church St. If you have your own vehicle parking garages are available all around ranging from 12-20 dollars there is a direct parking garage called the Geico Garage that has a walkway to The Amway Center for $20.
We’ve parked in two different garages now and all were very safe with actual people in them guarding and many friendly faces around all heading to the game as well both less than a block away around a five minute walk.
The Disney Magic begins as soon as you get past security, as you enter the Amway Center you find in front of you the entire wall of the building to be one bigger then life Disney wall, featuring the parks and Resorts of Walt Disney World and there you can also find the Orlando Magic Dancers.
Once you make your way Around The Amway Center to your seats you will also find Disney touches along the road like our friend mickey here!
Our first night there was filled with uhhh’ing and ahhhh’ing all the neat things there are to see and also enjoying a great Basketball game! But like the Disney people we are one certain little spot caught our eye, and that was the Walt Disney World Terrace. From a far you could see a pink castle peeking at you and a sparkly wall, little did we know we would soon get to explore it.
First Orlando Magic Basketball game checked of our bucket list and with the amazing time we had, the second game was checked of shortly after, but this game was truly magical all thanks to the amazing cast member Ethan that made All the Magic possible. Last night we got the amazing opportunity to tour the Walt Disney World Terrace.
The Terrace is Disney’s own Little suite of Magic, the entrance to it is all the Disney vibes you could imagine, an amazing view of the game and super neat Disney touches all over, it was hard to leave honestly, i could plan a great evening in that little magical spot! It is situated with a buffet style table against the wall to be filled with snacks and drinks for the parties it host seating all around and even a lower deck to sit and watch the game that lines up in front of the Walt Disney World sign inside the the Amway Center.
All whilst your caught up in the Magic of the suite and your little tour comes to an end you find yourself against one of my favorite Disney Quotes, and to say i was a little girl exploring this place was an understatement, as you walk out this beautiful wall below, is what you see to your left hand side, don’t you just Love that special Disney Touch?
Disney Does it again but this time in a breathtaking bigger then life game changing way, we’ve been to both Disney parks in the US and have seen no wall, building, mural, or picture like this.
A special place for us as Sports fans and Disney lovers but it’s not just about Mickey and Minnie you see there, take a little bit of a closer look zoom if you have too, this wall is filled with detail and the first thing that caught my eye wasn’t mickey (don’t tell him) it was the shirt Mr. Elephant is wearing and what it says. See it now?
as you go through the wall you notice all the characters and their shirts each showcasing a part of Disney, from shows to attractions. Its absolutely Beautiful, do you spot your favorite attraction or ride? Don’t be afraid to zoom on in!
We would have never been able to imagine a place like this in an aspect of our lives that we didn’t relate to much to Disney, sports, but here you have it, and being able to see it first hand and take our little tour, we again have to thank the amazing cast member we cant rave enough about Ethan!
